Ant Island

This is an atoll a few miles from Pohnpei. It has beaches, unlike Pohnpei, which has a belt of mangrove trees around the whole island.

Surf Pohnpei! Palikir Pass

If you look in the surf, to the right, you can see the head of a surfer who is caught in the reef and is about to get smashed by that wave. The waves were big that day and a lot of the surfers (like me) stayed on the boat and watched the advanced surfers shred it up.
